Seals are a commonly used engineering component widely used in various industries and fields. Its function is to prevent the leakage of liquids or gases in mechanical devices, while also preventing external substances such as dust and moisture from entering the equipment, ensuring the normal operation and service life of the equipment. There are various types of seals, among which rubber seals are a common and important type. This article will focus on introducing the types and characteristics of rubber seals.

Rubber seals are sealing parts made of rubber material, which have excellent elasticity and wear resistance. According to different shapes and applications, rubber seals can be divided into the following categories:

1. O-ring: O-ring is the most common type of rubber seal, with a circular cross-section, widely used for static sealing and reciprocating motion sealing. The O-ring has good sealing performance and can adapt to a large pressure and temperature range.

2. U-shaped ring: U-shaped ring, also known as cylinder liner sealing ring, has a U-shaped cross-section and is suitable for sealing cylinder liners, oil cylinders, and other parts. The U-shaped ring can withstand significant pressure and maintain the sealing of the hydraulic system.

3. V-shaped ring: The cross-section of the V-shaped ring is V-shaped and used for axial sealing. It is commonly used for shaft pressureless sealing. The V-shaped ring has good adaptability and can compensate for large tolerances and angle deviations.

4. Y-shaped ring: Y-shaped ring, also known as Y-shaped sealing ring, has a Y-shaped cross-section and is commonly used to seal equipment such as filters and filters. The Y-shaped ring has good sealing performance and wear resistance.

5. Square ring: The cross section of the square ring is square and is used for installation in grooves. It is commonly used to seal the piston and piston rod of hydraulic cylinders.

6. V-shaped protective ring: The cross-section of the V-shaped protective ring is V-shaped and is commonly used to seal the dust of the piston rod.

7. Y-shaped protective ring: The cross-section of the Y-shaped protective ring is Y-shaped, and it is also used to seal the dust of the piston rod, with good sealing effect
