High strength graphite pad refers to a graphite pad with high strength performance, commonly used for graphite with a compressive strength greater than 60MPa. Crucibles, sintering plates, and material trays for gold treatment; Continuous casting mold, diamond drill core mold; Dies for electric discharge machining: Anodes for brush plating; Contactors, bearings, sealing rings, high-temperature and high-speed airflow turbine components for mechanical seals. Rocket engines use nozzles, cones, bushings, blades, laser graphite discs, etc.
The manufacturing process features are as follows:
1. Raw material selection: High quality asphalt coke is usually used as the raw material, and there are also options for spherical coke and raw coke.
2. Grinding: The particle size of high-strength stone should be less than 0.042mm, and the grinding should be carried out using a universal crusher and an air flow crusher.
3. Forming: Most of them use compression molding (cold molding, warm molding) and equal pressure molding.
4. Impregnation roasting: To improve the density and strength of graphite, multiple impregnations and calcinations are usually used. In addition to using asphalt as the impregnating agent, additives and resins are also added as the impregnating agent.
High strength graphite gaskets can be processed into the following forms according to usage needs:
1. Basic graphite composite gasket;
2. Graphite composite gasket inside the package;
3. Wrap the outer graphite composite gasket;
4. Graphite composite gasket with inner and outer edges.
The edge wrapping form of graphite composite gasket not only maintains the excellent performance of the original gasket, but also facilitates installation and disassembly, is not easily damaged, and can prevent medium erosion of the gasket, improving pressure resistance. The commonly used edging material is 304 or 316 stainless steel.
