Kedebao develops a new generation of conductive seals. According to foreign media reports, Kedebao Sealing Technology Company (FST) has launched a new generation of conductive seals. The seal, named "eCONevo", can prevent bearing damage caused by electrical corrosion and improve electromagnetic compatibility, which is said to be of great significance for high-performance electric drive devices. The company stated that electric vehicles use an 800V drive system (instead of the traditional 400V), which can be fully charged in just 15 minutes and generate enough power to travel hundreds of kilometers. During driving, the power semiconductor components in the inverter can convert the direct current in the battery into the alternating current required by the motor. Kedebao Sealing Technology Company stated that its new generation of conductive seals aims to eliminate these two impacts. ECONevo is a very thin conductive non-woven material that attaches to the radial shaft sealing ring and provides direct electrical contact between the rotor shaft and the motor casing. FST stated that they can use a non-woven material with a very low AC resistance (about 1 ohm) thanks to a new material mixture developed. This material has high conductivity, which not only prevents electrical corrosion but also prevents the generation of electromagnetic waves. It is reported that this non-woven material is approximately 1mm thick and usually does not require changes to the engine design.
