In the industrial field, O-ring is a very common sealing element. It has a simple and practical design, usually made of rubber or plastic. The main function of O-ring is to provide sealing and prevent fluid or gas leakage.

1. Elastic deformation: O-ring is usually made of rubber or other elastic materials and has good elastic properties. When the O-ring is subjected to external pressure or compression, it undergoes reversible elastic deformation and achieves sealing effect by filling the sealing gap.
2. Closed gap: The cross-sectional shape of the O-ring is a circular ring. When it is placed in the groove of the sealing device, due to its elasticity, it can automatically fill the gap between the groove and the sealed component, forming a closed sealing structure.
3. Compression and recovery: The O-ring has good compressibility. When a certain pressure is applied between two sealed components, the O-ring will be compressed and produce elastic deformation, further increasing the sealing effect. Once the external pressure disappears, the O-ring can return to its original shape and refill the sealing gap.
4. Characteristics of sealing materials: O-ring is usually made of rubber material, which has good elasticity and wear resistance and can adapt to different media. At the same time, rubber also has a certain degree of compressibility and resilience, which can provide a stable sealing effect.
